You have caught the attention of 5 of those guys! I feel a tighter crop would have made for a stronger image as there really is no strong focal point to hang our hats on. It is a happy snappy image....and sometimes that is just fine and is exactly what others want to see. A change of POV, shooting like no other photographer transports an image from ordinary into the realm of extraordinary. Also, if there is something you want to show us, get in closer, and show us. I do like the airy free feeling you have caught here.
Thanks for your review Still. How would you do that crop then? I like the man with his bicycle on the left and the big bucket full of eggs on the other side... What sould I do?
Hmmm choices choices. The man on the bike is already out of the frame and does it really show a market scene? The big bucket full of eggs is clear and in frame. See that guy in the gray pants looking at you? If you cropped all the way to include him in the frame , and crop up as you really don't need all that road you would have a tighter photo. Then suddenly you have 4 men looking at you, a market scene and humour built in. You do know that you need to take what reviewers tell you with a grain of salt....OY VEY....I mean a bushel of salt. Change only that what feels right for you, listen to your artistic angel, she's probably way more creative than me and my ideas.
YOU are my artistic angel
I have made a compromise.
HOLY CRAP......... ! ! ! ! !.............what a difference. Yeah, I like it a lot better BUT BUT BUT....do you!? It is more to the point. Very nice indeed. chirp chirp.
I would agree with still, there is no one better at street life than her, when taking these sort of photos and indeed any places you find yourself in,i would take a straight forward photo, then look round to see if you can get a different perspective or more of a close-up,photography is all about learning things, but also it is also about what you are happy with...brian
I'm happy with it... but I feel sad for the man with his bicycle who was looking at me. It it like a struggle between reason and sentiments
