I think a bit of a tighter crop at the sides would have enhanced this photo, although the "gold" does titillate. You have fantasticated this image well with exposure and saturation.

Yes you are right - a tighter crop would have been better especially to accentuate the idiom.
The idiom comes from 'The Merchant of Venice' and it is 'glisters'. It was changed to 'glitters' very recently.
