Thanks to your post I shall never look at rocks the same way. To have put this into b/w gives it much more impact for the textural quality has been brought out really well. You have a broad gradient range that further gives a lot of depth. The composition follows horizontal cut rules of photography and further gives pizzazzz to this well rendered image.
