I like how this image "whispers" spring with a few pops of colour. Is it level though? Check that bridge in the background it looks slanted to the right a touch. This photo leaves me with a feeling of wanting to be there, to breathe in the fresh air....looks like nature is waking up. Delightful.
I've straightened the photo a bit but I think that the slant of the viaduct is due to perspective. It was once used by a little train carrying potatoes to the city. Yes, nature is waking up, the birds are singing and the frogs love songs are deathening (but cheerful). Pollen flies everywhere and makes me sneeze, which adds to the musical atmosphere.
Bless you. How do they get potatoes to the city nowadays? I also like the balanced feel to this photo...the sky and the pond.
Nowadays, mules and donkeys. But they cannot cross the river. At this place, the bags of potatoes are stacked on a canoe. On the other side of the river, the farm workers make a chain which goes to the city, throwing the bags to eachother. Hard work, low pay...
Thanks for that....appreciate your talking to me.
Just kidding... Nowadays trucks replace train transportation. More pollution but more competitiveness, as they say
Hey, I'm traveling in a country where women still carry wood on their heads and tea sacks on their head as well.
Well well, that's what I remembered reading your reply... I could carry a couple of Lipton's tea bags on my head, but no more.
