A story that speaks of love of bread and all the accoutrements that go with bread eating. Had the bread been in better focus it would have jumped out at us more but we do get the story.
Yes. Actually I had another image without the honey but much clearer on the bread, but after some debate with myself I opted for this as without the honey it seemed "incomplete" and "un-balanced"
I've added the other image in the S-B-S for comparison.
Hi and thank you for the comparison. Here are my two cents worth, (not that you asked for it, sorry). The honey makes the image busier, more things to take away from the focus, which is supposed to be the bread and thereby it ought to be in sharp focus which the SBS is. We photographers do get emotionally attached to our images and obviously, the honey gives you an emotive pull, but for us peons looking at the image the honey just adds clutter. You do have the pomegranate and cup of tea in the SBS to plump out the story, and most importantly the bread is sharp. Anyhow, this is simply my subjective opinion only and perhaps you might be surprised by the final outcome to see how right you were and how wrong I was...
Thanks again for taking the trouble to comment.
You are right about the "clutter". I was actually looking for a smaller, less intrusive, jar of honey, around the house, but...... you know the rest......
LOL....and thank you for not ripping my head off.
