Awestruck!

I've always tried to get a bee this close up, but they always fly away before I could get the picture. Very nice!

I don't know what was up with this bee, but it sat there for ages, so I was able to focus properly.

the light on the left (candle) is distracting a little bit,
but for the whole theme, very inspiring setup

Well done on your attempt. Other than the distracting light, the background is a little busy - I spent longer trying to make out the cigarette in the test tube in the background (reminds me of a year 9 science experiment). Anyway, in my opinion the simple backgrounds work best.

Lol author - in my view, the real victory is being able to accept constructive criticism for what is and taking a little something away from it. That makes you a winner already

A great photo no doubt. But the emphasis appears to be on the man and his dog, and the thematic "alley" is all but forgotten.

The man and his dog fit so perfectly in the alleyway. If the two of them were shop separately or the alleyway on its own, I don't think the image would have this impact.

Lovely idea, but you might want to crop it a little so the hammer and anvil is larger in the photo, and straighten it at the same time.

Thanks for your advice ! I've straighten the picture and croped a little (I want to keep the grindstone in the backgroud that permit the eye not to quit the picture due to its round aspect)
