Desaturated all channels but blue. (5 years and 3341 days ago)
Nicely done...I see what you did here author and it's well played by the rules:
Photography Guidelines:
What IS allowed...
- 6.4.: Saturation
- 6.5.: Color adjustments/shifting
If you can saturate, it stands to reason you can desaturate and make adjustments to the color channels...nicely done.
I've added an sbs to help clear up any confusion.
thanks for the SBS. It'll come in handy.
Lovely photograph, and if this is allowed I'm delighted.
"As a general rule, you are allowed to all adjustments which act on the whole picture",
this is were I get confused, but if working on separate chancels is ok, then I for one is delighted.
Great image! I agree, if de-saturation is allowable, we all need to know it..
Picture is still here, so I guess it must be..
original
Yeah, I figured out that little trick on one of my own entries. GL!

In the Celtic tradition Hawk empowers a person to seek out their ancestral roots and to examine in depth that which is positive so that it may be integrated into the person's life and that, which is limiting so it can be released. Tradition is only worth honoring when it supports joy and fulfillment in one's life! In this tradition Hawk also supports the solar side as stated above, helping a person to move forward in life and to seek out great quests to embark upon.
In the Egyptian Tradition Hawk was associated with Magic and shape shifting. Isis is said to have shape shifted into a Hawk to save Osiris. Horus also carried Hawk medicine which allowed him to see the "unseeable".
Among Native American traditions, Hawk served the role of Mercury, bringer of messages and portents of change. Hawk reminded the people they needed to be awake and aware.

Beautiful, what is it a symbol off?
I don't care if it's a symbol or an emblem. I do care if it's a fabulous photo. This one IS!! The high res is very clear and detailed. One of the best entries! Well done author! GL!
Oh, and author, although I do not know of you well, I will say that compared to other entries I've seen from you, this one is definitely one of your best.
Very interesting info - thanks. A very nice shot, too
