beautiful contrast , and i love the way the building kinda blends into the grass. Great shot.

Nice find author
Seen this before, still love it.
Nice colors and POV but leveling the horizon (the tracks) wouldn't hurt. GL!

Oh very nice! I love the capture on this. Definitely captures the theme nicely. Good work!
There's a forest that looks exactly like this down near my friends house! it was ceartainly a creepy experience going down there at night and you're bringing it all back to me! ahhh!!! - Like this image a lot! Love the corridor of trees!
Very nice find and I like it in black and white, it's a bit noisy but I still like this!
Took your advice and removed a lot of the noise. Low light outside like this can be hard Im still working out the right balance.
Looks much better now, what iso were you shooting at?
Love it! Where about is this? I'm trying to find somewhere like this to do a vintage shoot for a friend... my main problem I live in Australia lol
This is part of a large hybrid poplar stand. They grow them like crops in Oregon. I had to sneak onto the property over barbwire fence for the shot

A different time of the day (sun set maybe would help to create a light/shadow game between the trees) & this would be fantastic.
Still good author!
It is taken at sunset, thats why the light is on the one side of the tree and not the front. The trees grow in rows and straight up very little light gets in due to the size of the orchard. If you look at the link above you would see how close the trees grow together. The only reason you see light is because your seeing the edge of the orchard looking down one of the many rows.

I really like this, just a shame you cant see it all on screen at once. Great shot though, GL
wow, awesome capture, well done author!
This is cool!! Too bad the towers weren't closer to each other.
Amazing ... really amazing
wow
WOW
Good Photography sense
Wow, truly amazing, what a great idea. My head is spinning = )
Awesome.. how did you take this shot?
yeah wow!!
It's a 180° panoramic image made of 11 shots taken without tripod in a beautiful September day of the past year.
wow
I think you beat this one! Great and powerful,
congrats .... great pic
Thank you all!!!
Nice 1! Very competitive entry. GL!
I hate to be the one to bring it up... but since this isn't a just single shot ("It's a 180° panoramic image made of 11 shots" as per author)... is it legal? I hope so cuz its a great shot. I am just asking for clarification. Still getting a high vote from me!
this is NOT photoshopped..this is one of those continuous photos... my two cents... LET IT STAY... it's absolutely brilliant... it's perfectly obvious what the author did.. and did it brilliantly... awesome
Oh yeah.. I can see the entire picture in high res if I don't enlarge it.. that's amazing too by the way.. good luck author
This HAS to be photoshopped (for stitching purposes). There is no camera I know of that combines 11 shots (per author) into one. I have a point & shoot thats does panoramas with 3 shots (all in camera) but this is wasn't done that way.
Please don't misunderstand.... I gave this a high score and hope it stays... I just want clarification from the author and mods. If this is okay then it opens up the door for more types of pics.... panoramas, HDR, etc.
I think that stitching is not the same as photoshopping (made on camera or not)... it is the same as having an ultra-wide (and ultra expensive) lens. If stitching is not allowed, cutting should be the same. These operation doesn't alter the nature of the shot (like cloning and hue manipulation), but just improve it. But this is my opinion, and obviously I am not objective with myself! Decide serenely!!!
I am with you on this.... trust me. I have to agree that stitching is not the same as what can be done in photoshop but it is still an image manipulation. It is not the same as having an ultra wide angle lens however, simply due to the fact that lens wasn't used. With this logic I could make a "fake tilt-shift" photo in photoshop and say, "its the same as using an expensive tilt-shift lens". Cutting is different than stiching simply because you are taking away and not adding. By stitching you in fact did "alter the nature of the shot" by adding more shots to the original.
Okay..... in summary... I LIKE THE SHOT AND IT SHOULD STAY!!! I just wanted clarification because I am a huge fan of HDR and have always had to defend some of my shots. In my opinion HDR is the same idea... making a photo with light and dark areas better by bringing the dynamic range up more to what our eyes can see and the camera can't
I'm with captgeo, this is image manipulation but I think it should be allowed to stay as well as HDR shots. The rule that includes photo stitching and HDR should be done away with, it isn't changing the picture or adding to it, it's simply combining several images, a practice that is widely accepted in the photo world an is allowed on every other photo site out there.
This is great... i am glad this one is the winner... pretty much says "stitching is fine". Which leads to other things being "fine".
Congrats on placing. It was definitely one of the best.
WOO HOO
Congrats for your first place, Creser!
