Not sure if this qualifies as a shrine but the picture would have looked better if you at least straitened it.

That's a strong word!
very nice work
Since the word means what it means it would have been a great composition to have the word a bit smaller and in the lower right corner IMHO. That way you would have used the force of the word in a visual representation. I (reading from top to bottom, left to right) would expect a closure there.
Nevertheless: great photo and perfect match for the contest IMHO.
What language is it? . I really like the wall behind it. Too cool!
Thats a great suggestion Rob.
The reason i chose this photo for the contest is very simple.
Things in my country aren't very good. It's like we drowning in to a sea.
The texture on the wall reminds me of the bottom of the sea(when the sun reflects on the water over the sand)
The word αμην is been used when you wish that things will change fot the better.
The word is ascending from the bottom of the sea giving hope to all of us,that things are gonna be better in the future.
Positioning is a minor detail as long as the message is clear.
Amanda...the word is in Greek.
Thank you all for stoping by!
Author if you see it this way: you are correct! It's an angle I didn't expect but if you explain - see it that way it's perfect
I lso admire yall that know more than one language! Jealous of ya too. :-b
