Good idea just try to recapture this image without reflection on the glass.

A photograph of Final Fantasy X with Yuna and Tidus on the screen.
I used a macro lens with the manual only mode and defocused the shot manually to create this look. (5 years and 3480 days ago)
Very nice image but I think shots cannot be edited. Rules say "The shots must be 'out of camera' "
I know that the images cannot be edited, which I haven't done either so I'm little confused now. In what way did I edit this?
I guess cocor misunderstood your description "and defocused the shot manually to create this look".. with what I understood is that you manually adjusted the camera lens to get the defocused effect.. right..?
iquraishi: Yes, that's exactly what I did. Turning the focus ring so that the picture was nicely defocused.
sorry everybody, iquraishi is right, I had misunderstood!
Just glad the misunderstanding was solved without much trouble.
Happy that everything is cleared..
and you know what author... this is the technique I had in my mind for this contest.. but the other entries are also turning out to be good with different techniques..
You do have to admit that it's rather obvious technique to be used for this kind of contest, don't you think so too? It's simple and very effective if used on the right kind of object, don't you agree?
ooops... you caught me!
It's easy for all those who really know to use their camera (and also carefully read the instruction manuals), not for those who play around in the empiric way I do ...
Wait...there's a manual for my camera? Why didn't anyone tell me about this earlier? God...what else have I missed?
well done
like the look of this image very original use of macro
Thank you, though it's not really a macro. I only used the macro lens as it has much nicer "defocus" compared the my zoom lens. The object itself was a projection of about 100" on the wall.
yes I agree and that's what I said.. Good luck author..
