Beautiful.
very nice and deep as well..
Very philosophic. The title, the place, the holy symbol and the color. Did you try Sepia too ?
no i didn't try sepia. this was a photo i took in 2005. i am a photoshop student and learned how to straighten it out a bit. other than that, the photo is as shot. no other corrections.
Beautiful, if changing to sepia, I would have used cold blue tones rather than the warm tones usual in sepia.
Nice interpretation. I like friiskiwi's suggestion of cool blue tones
nice

a little OOF
Nice idea =- could have been executed a little better with focus and remove the chair.

great idea
Very nice. Might work better if you rotated it so it was vertical (it'd look like something was about to drop)
great idea, and good photo.

So I figured out that writing with a quill is a lot harder than it looks, but i was determined to do it anyway!
Anybody care to guess what the writing says? (5 years and 3510 days ago)
I don't know what it says, but it's lovely calligraphy
nice shot.. so what does the writing say author..? something related to paper and pen photography contest on pxleyes.com..? and what language it is?
If nobody has guessed it by the end of the contest I'll give the answer but let's wait and see if anyone knows it.
beautiful
Thanks for the compliments everyone, but since I'm brand new to photography constructive criticism in greatly appreciated Looking back on it today I can see at least two thing I would change so I'm sure everyone out there as better photographers can find more things that could be improved. Thanks!
alright, I'm adding it in comment watch to see what does that mean.. good luck..
Good job, author...I like the texture of paper....and light... good luck to you!
Lovely shot - have no idea what it says though
Ok I can't believe only one person had a guess as to what it said! It is the inscription from the the inside of the ring from "The Lord of the Rings","One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them; One ring to bring them all, One ring to bind them" Are there seriously no other Tolkien fans out there? And the language is Sindarin, created by J.R.R Tolkien, and has Old English and Welsh orgins.
Congrats on your 2nd
