The angel of light ascending into the turbulent clouds. Image taken in Rome. (5 years and 3082 days ago)
I would love to have seen the UNinverted photo (especially since you are supposed to keep it as close to the original as possible)
Inverted probably IS allowed here (not sure) but I'm just saying that in my opinion, I wish I could see the original --the uninverted that looks as close to the original as possible. Is there any way you could post it in an SBS for us just so we can see?
Hi k5683. I understand your urgency to keep the entry as close to the original as possible, but I had decided to upload the inverted entry because I believed that it fit more to a theme. As you can see in the original, the angel is not as prominent, nor as symbolic to light as the inverted entry. Since there was no strict rule against inverting, I decided that it would be more fitting to upload the inverted as an entry. The original is viewable through SBS.
I see what you mean about making it more prominent by inverting it...it does bring the angel out more. I sure like the original though Have you tried dodging parts of the angel on the original to make it stand out more? The sky is just so pretty in the original. Just a thought.
Thanks for your input k5683 I have changed my photo to encompass more of the original shot
Rome, i love Rome!!!
I will surely vote higher now
Thank you k5683, for the vote and the advice
And yes Cristian, I loved my trip in Rome too! So many fantastic sights
Really cool! Looks like the angel is about to take off into the skies. Good Luck author!
Exactly what I was aiming for TankRed! Thank you

wow, how did you get a purely white background? This is outside right?
Yes, it's outside, against the sky on a dull day, exposed for the statue.
ahhh that's what I figured... but it must be that the statue was up high enough to reach over any background "stuff"
