great idea for a shot, shame that there isn't enough sharp focus on the boots whilst having enough focus on the far background (with the truck) to be distracting.

......not according to the little one eating, they appear to be quite happy.....but I would look out for the shifty looking character behind you.................

I think if you crop it so the child is out, it could look like people are nervous about something/someone over to the left. But the kid makes it lose its film noir "edge"

I thought about cutting the child, but it would loose to much of the image, and even in a film noir, there would be 'innocents', totally unaware of what is going on around them.

Well, it's your picture, of course. But I think if you cropped off the right (the kid) and the top, you'd increase the tension about a million percent.

There is a very cool thing about this shot: Something with the lighting and the angle makes it appear as though the birds are collated onto the background! I love this!

The birds don't look like they fit into the shot at all.
