I would crop a lot of the foreground, to put more focus o the men.
Too much cropping, and no overtime! But yes, you;re right, I;ll try to lose some of the foreground

well... firemen at work
Rest assured that when they are called to work, they give it their all. Complete with their blood, sweat, and tears. And sometimes their lives. The ultimate in work. Remember 9-11 ?
Of course I remember 9-11. What does that have to do with this shot? There are certainly heroic firemen, just as there are heroic policemen, soldiers etc. But in our culture EVERYONE has to be a hero. I have gigantic amounts of respect for firemen, and there are heroic firemen, but that doesn't mean every fireman is a hero. There are heroic soldiers, but that doesn't mean every soldier is a hero. Everyone is supposed to "give it their all" when they show up to work. If you don't want to fight fires, don't become a fireman. It doesn't make you a hero. In America, all policemen are heroes, all firemen are heros, teachers are heroes, single mothers are heroes, the guy who works full time and coaches Little League is a hero etc. When everyone is a hero, it takes away from TRUE heroes.
I just made a very short statement of what I think of firemen. No harm, no foul.
