I'm a newbie! Any help will be appreciated!
Reminds me of me and my 4 'stock car' racing brothers,
...mmmm, cars and beer!
Alright author, here's some constructive criticism. I know your fairly new so I'll try to be nice since I seem to make bad first impression. I would suggest that next time you try to focus in on a specific item on the shelf, like the key or mugs for instance. You can do this with a standard point and shoot as well as any pro variety cameras out there. Where you focus in on one subject, it will put the rest of the subjects in the shot in a slight defocus, which will give you so much more depth of field as well as artistic appeal. It also seems you are using a flash. While it can...
...be useful at times, it's knowing when to use it for best results. Indoors? Most of the time you will fail. Always try alternative lighting. Sunlight is your best bet. It is natural light and makes for the most realistic lighting. This shot is more what I would refer to an document photography, like an insurance policy. Try to play around with those ideas I gave you and here's a good example (my own photo) of depth of field: http://www.pxleyes.com/images/contests/speakers/fullsize/It--s-For-You--4c8d94b2cccf4.jpg

ummm... day old food isn't usually "mouth watering"
ummm, after a night at the bar it is! I take it you've never had a hangover
Yeah, before I quit drinking I had plenty of hangovers... that's when I did my best cooking
really? best cooking with a hangover? Fast, greasy, salty and lots of protein
If you do your best cooking with a hangover, you can come do some sober cooking for my family anytime )))))))))
I don't drink like I used to because I couldn't handle the hangovers :o Migraines, vomitting, sleeping ALL day.....not much of a good time there.
Even with 3 or 4 beers though, the taste of a bar burger is absolutely wonderful! MMMM my mouth is watering now Dang I wish I hadn't eaten that thing
Doesn't look that appetizing
