I would have put the horizon line at the lower third so the lighthouse has been best framed
maybe, but then there might have been too much dull sky to look at. the alternative would be to crop the shot, and bring the lighthouse closer and still keep it in the grid.

mmm, looks like a bit of post editing here author.........how did you get this shot, and what did you do after to make it like this
nothing major... just added gaussian blur and overlay. the original looks pretty much the same. this place is just really beautiful during the night.

read the rules... not against the rules to use basic techniques. no masking done or anything like that. no added foreign objects or what not. no changing specific areas of the pic. i could change it to the original if you like. honestly not much difference.
