So much about this is eye capturing! The straight lines in the water, the tree that seems to be growing sideways (though I guess it had fallen), the little island. The high res is amazing!
I agree, it's a splendid landscape. In color it would be a wallpaper!
Beautiful, but the branch in the top/middle is really annoying.
I like the lines in the water running counter to the trees very much! But, I do agree with friiskiwi about that branch
I agree and disagree. Depending on the look you are going for really imo. i like howit really frames out the island but you can get that more open look with it gone but unforunately I can't take it out even if it was legal fr photography themes.
the highlights and shadows are perfect so that the details are seen in everything. This is what I believe Ansel Adams had--not just a nice black and white. Most images can be turned into a nice black and white landscape, but this holds all the DETAIL by perfectly photgraphing the highlights and shadows.
Thank you! That was very nice
Is this lake tahoe?
Why yes it is
I recognize the island. It has a castle on it I think. Beautiful area and a lovely picture too.

Nice setting but the hydrant needs to be more prominent. Suggest you crop down imo..
very nice shot...gl
I think it's a very nice composition and contrast. At first sight it can look like a dwarf statue in a garden!
Do sea grapes catch on fire often?
hehehe Kyricom.. my thought's exactly.. the fact that they repaint that hydrant like 2 times a year it amazes me... I guess it's a tourist thing

Koi just filled the pond below the waterfalls at the park; I loved the spiral stems of the plants, and the shapes of all the stones at the bottom. (5 years and 3252 days ago)
I love the tones in this picture. I really think the spiral stems is what really gives this picture that extra BAM! ; )
Nice shot! GL!

A good try and nice leading lines, just a shame you weren't on the other side of the butterfly, being in the shade, you have just lost too much detail. I guess the camera was trying to expose for the light behind.
Although the lighting would have been better, I think it would have been a much sadder photo, as the wing on the other side looks to be damaged, most likely from a bird, judging from the tears on the wing facing us...Poor butterfly.
You can still do some work on the photo, crop it closer and lighten the butterfly to show some detail. If you don't crop, you will have to many blown highlights.
