A female Cardinal startled at the birdfeeder (5 years and 1312 days ago)
Exquisite colours. Great timing.
Thanks. I wish it had been a male. They're bright red all over. But, you take what you can get.
The muted colours that match the feeder bring it all together for me more than any shocking bright colours may have. It's the subtle colour palette that I like. I guess that women are good for some things, even in nature. (:

Taken at a bird show, the handler would throw a piece of meat into the air and the Black Kite caught it every time. (5 years and 1314 days ago)
Wonderful
Thanks
For some reason, I want to turn my head sideways to view this excellent shot.
I know the feeling, when I took it, I felt it looked like it is falling. I've been told that when they catch a live bird, they stretch their wings back, lift the prey in their claws and kill it very quickly with their beak and in the process they do fall.
Congrats!
Thanks Randy
