I must submit this one in honour of the lost captain of the Bounty and in memory of the great ship that was a casualty of Hurricane Sandy (5 years and 2562 days ago)

So sad, didn't know it was the captain that was lost, didn't they loose 2 crew?

author says:

Yes, you are right. It was both the captain and a new crew member who had just started and was on her first voyage

Flying a large Canadian Flag - Bless the Bounty and its captain - great shot

author says:

The Canadian flag is a courtesy flag, flown here because she was in Canadian waters at the time of this photo. Her registry and primary flag is in the stern (on the gaff) and it is the American flag.

Very nice. High res looks great. Might have used something besides the gold table (or whatever it is) for the base though

great shot, but I only see one book here..........

no avatar

It looks like it is sitting on top of an open book of maps.

avatar cabldawg71

very nice shot Author

avatar debdyutsarker

I agree with adeincyprus...

avatar UncleJimmy

I actually see it sitting on an open book ( a map book of sorts)....

author says:

your right itsmymoment its actually a atlas book

avatar kyricom
kyricom says:

I definitely see two books, but I'm not sure I see the relationship between an atlas, a globe (maps) and Serpico ( a story about corruption in the NYPD)

avatar jawshoewhah
jawshoewhah [banned] says:

There's two books but your focus is on the one sitting on top of the other, hence probably making it look like there is only 1 book at first glance. Another book on top of the Serpico would have helped or a different POV.
