Well, obviously not Brady, but a fun weekend anyway. (done in post-processing) (5 years and 3057 days ago)
Are we talking about Mathew B. Brady, who, for a time, was under the wing of daguerreotypist (I just wish I knew what this one means!) Samuel FB Morse? If so, then I more than feel the connection, since I used to work as a radio operator (using the namesake code, and all,) ages ago. OK, author, just trying to show off. Nice image by the bye!
Great, and well suited to sepia, personally I would have gone more for yellow than red tones.
Thanks for the suggestion, friiskiwi. I fooled around with it a little. I like the red tones, but do think the yellows look a little more authentic.
Yes, jerostone, I was referring to the Brady who worked with Morse. Daguerrotype was a very early form of permanent photography (invented by Daguerre), where images were tranfused onto silver plates with iodine fumes. Morse brought it back to America (from France) and helped its spread. Brady was an early student of Morse and was very famous for American Civil War photography (mid 1860's).
I do think this is better.
Well done on catching the gun firing
Most enlightening, author. Thank you!
