Close-up of a trampoline artist at Binghamton University attempting to catch a ball in midair. (5 years and 2267 days ago)

with the foot cut off, we can't really tell that he is in the air.

author says:

OK, but if you'll notice my previous submission, which features the same man, you'll see he is clearly airborne (although striking a different sort of pose). Also, regarding this shot, if he wasn't in the air, wouldn't there be a greater likelihood of something being in the background to give some sort of ground context? One foot is indeed cut off, but on the side of the photograph and not on the bottom, but the other foot is clearly in the air and he's trying to catch a ball moving up toward him, as can be gathered from the angle of his arms. I was using a 70-300mm lens and was zoomed in somewhat significantly in order to get the shot.

Lets cut to the chase, author. You have violated the cardinal rule of anonymity, because we know that you are the author of both images. By the way, the other image got this one beat by a country mile, IMO. If I was you, I would delete this one.

author says:

Thanks for explaining how I broke anonymity, because I was trying to get clarification from a moderator but never heard back :-/. I wanted to delete the entry and replace it with something different altogether, but I'm unsure how to do that (again no response for the moderator). But thanks for clearing this up and for your comments!

Lovely composition and light. May just be me, but it seems a tiny bit out of focus.

Taken from a car so you might be correct.
