Beautiful clarity, but the composition is a bit too target centered.
You might consider cropping the left side to the edge of the woman in white's face, and possibly a bit more off the top. Since you've cut off the top of the ball, trimming the side will help de-emphasize that side and make the photo look less like a "snapshot."
No sooner said than done, Mossy! Thanks for the advice..

Very very nice picture. It is just my point of view but I would have croped out the building on the left which is not necessary and emphasis the distortion.
Like a picture postcard, I do agree with Artifacts and will hold my vote.
The distortion on the left is very noticeable and very distracting, with the buildings leaning towards the center as they do. I agree that you should crop it - fairly severely to my eye, almost to the middle of the picture, eliminating the side of the one building entirely.
Im with the other commentors the building on the left should go. just take your scissors n bye bye building LOL
Can't wait for the modified picture !
Your idea is good, but I'd like to crop it in 3:2 or 4:3 without cutting the building on the right too I'll try to do something intelligent...
Now it's modified. I hope it's better than the first one...
Looks wonderful now, but why do you like to restrict yourself to 3:2 or 4:3?
Thank you friiskiwi! 3:2 and 4:3 just are the classical ratios for photos, it's true that I could do something else...
Wonderful ! Great job on re-framng !
Much improved, it really has a great "Christmasy" feel to it now. Well done!

It's a long way away, which you had gone a little closer.
I can appreciate what you're saying, but the distance is exactly what I liked about the shot. It just seems sometimes that so many Christmas decorations are so over the top and "in your face," that I really liked the subtlety of the lone set of lights off in the distance with nothing but the empty hills for company. (Also, I didn't want to tromp through 4 feet of snow through the fields to get closer)
I really like the "pristine" undisturbed snow between you and the lights...
Fair enough, It's your photo, I'm just giving my opinion.
