Lovely but not delapidated..

Actually it is quite dilapidated...only part of the original roof and 3 full walls still stand. it was part of the original Jamestowne settlement abandoned in the 1790's in Virgina, USA...it is no longer in use and I do have other photos showing the external sturcture that is falling down...this effect was achieved by underexposing several stops and using a levels adjustment to get the darkend areas as there was a missing part of roof and wall adjacent...

I can see some wear in the details of the bricks and can imagine the outside may be quite some dilapidated, but it is only on the bricks. But overall, if the outside was as beat up as you say, then outside photos would have made a better theme fit.

Good subject but I would have preferred the photo if it had been more upright (it leans to the right) and the top left tower hadn't been cut off.
