If this is you, who took the photo
i put my camera on a tripod and started recording a movie, then i just cut a frame out of the movie
That explains the strange "halo" and jpeg articles appearent in the snap..but nice climbing!
Whom were you trying to impress by this?
Everyone, I posted it on facebook and sat back to receive all the: "WOW THATS AWESOME!!!" haha
Author, if you use an image of yourself, please don't disclose that it's you. It's against the rules. Why am I the only one that seems to know this????
Melanie, I'm surprised as long as you have been on this site you would ask the author that. Besides, it's called a timer.
too mich pixelation and Jawshoewhah is right. I think the act is impressive though
Jaws, Melanie is right asking if the author actually took this shot, as if they didn't, then it is not allowed to be entered. It is not too easy to make out who is in the shot, so imo, anonymity is not at risk here.
No she didn't she asked if this was him and he said yes. He changed his comment. Higher res next time, OK?

good capture........but, because of the bush in the fg, it centres more on this than on the climber.
good one!
DOF....the guy is out of focus and the bush is in focus....otherwise a nice snap...
Thank you for the comments. I really don't think the climber must be the sole focus to convey the idea of this challenge. I realize the climber is out of focus. That was intentional. The DOF in this photo creates a different and more interesting shot than just a plain "hey look at the climber climbing ice." Photography IMHO is an art form...not merely point and shoot.
\Author, you shouldn't submit similar entries. You are no longer anonymous. I think your next entry is a better shot. This one the climber is out of focus.
actually, rather like this one...however, jawshoewhah is correct...submitting such simular entries removes the anonimity of the entry...

nice shooting........I like the trail of carabinas and piks left behind on the rope line......
the climber seems to be so small in compare to the glacier - nice perspective!
Very well shot! i think this picture is really neat to look at!
The ice was very glassy that day. If you would like to see the magnitude of the glacier and see just how insignificant we were, take a look of this: http://bf2015.smugmug.com/My-Life/Ice-Climbing/Misc-Ice-Climbing-2008/7259166_bkzRD#665935323_XnM35-A-LB
Good one....Nice capture of the full glacier with the guy and the signs of climbing left....
well done, excellent entry
