During a particularly cold winter, we had ice building up everywhere. This is what the risers (front part) of our laundry room steps looked like through most of that time. For me this is only a reflective moment.. and very far from loneliness feelings. When I go to the mountains I love to be like this image... not for loneliness feelings, but for a moment of connection with nature. This contest is very complicated to give an opinion, each one has one loneliness experience and point of view.

Siletz River near Lincoln City, Oregon. I didn't put the location at first because it was taken on a road trip and I had forgotten the name of it. Your request made me go back and try to find out where it was, so thank you.

Thank you friiskiwi. It is one of those shots that look better in black and white. The colour version was very green with all the trees. The mist on the water and the different shades of the trees show up much better this way.
