Try to increase the contrast a bit more to get the deep rich colours out, see if you like it better. You did a great job by including all these colourful patterns fully into the entire frame. Very nice.
Thank you for the feed back. I appreciate it.

Experimenting with different angles, lighting, and subjects. (5 years and 957 days ago)
Excellent presentation. The apple gives the appearance of being a fresh, healthy product. There is also great space, particularly in the upper right corner to give a simple message.
Thank you so much @dhoebeke! I'm new to photography and I really appreciate feedback and opinions.
You're off to a great start! You'll learn a lot on this site; I know I already have. What I appreciate the most is that the comments people make on your work are designed to help you hone your abilities.
Thanks again @dhoebeke! I really like that too! Comments do help you hone your abilities!
I am not an apple farmer but if I was I would want my apples to look this way. Water, is life giving, as is the apple and you have married the two together in a beautiful way. The dof could be sharper and did you use a tripod? I do love the light source shining from above. I can hear the crunch. The fact that you chose a nice black background further punctuates the main focal point. Love the crop for it is out of the box thinking and it works.
Thank you very much for your comment! I want to say yes I did use a tripod but I think I actually didn't (I should have) In the end I ended up putting a black vignette around the photo to get it a bit darker.
It is still a very lovely presentation.
Thank you very much!
Congratulation, a beautiful simple photo. Well done.

You succeeded in making me hungry! I'd consider unwrapping the first one so that we can see both the mouth-watering detail and how it arrives packaged.
thankyou for the comments

Handmade baskets on a stall in the uk (5 years and 960 days ago)
This handicraft photo has it all. You have good composition with leaving part of the wall there that acts as a story enhancer. Your crouched down to shoot this and considered your POV. You saw what would excite the viewer, those colours and patterns. This is a very strong image both artistically and technically.
Thanks still

Can't go wrong with this colourful entry.
Thanks so much still!
Certainly colourful, but I feel it would have made a more interesting photo if we could see it being made.
Thanks! I agree with you
