HDR? Very nice!!!!!!!!!!!
Good eye, but it's not true HDR. I tone mapped a single RAW file. You get more noise that way but by doing it from 1 image you can get "HDR" action shots and most importantly your entry can't be removed for "Putting together a new picture from various other pictures"
LOL... figured it was from one image simply due to the waves. Great job..... noise isnt too bad. Wonderful colors. Well done. I have a weakness for "HDR" like images.
Pretty blurry. Looks over edited.
The blurriness is intentional, I wanted this to have a soft look so that when tone mapped it would have oil painting look to it. Not all photos have to be completely sharp. In this case there is acceptable sharpness for the style I was trying to convey. As far as it being over edited that's a matter of opinion.
decidedly different and it does have the oil painting quality to it...overall a good entry, well done author, the single shot HDR is an interesting solution to the multi-exposure ban...
I have to disagree, I find it too blurry, the colours appear unnatural, and i didnt realise the multi exposure ban was actually in effect.
Would be great to see the original photo
Well it seems that yet again a key point in one of my photos that I found to be artistically appealing isn't viewed like I had hoped Well I suppose to each his own.
I'd be happy to supply the original image to the mod for clarification if they would like.
Author, the fact I'm a mod doesn't mean I'm asking to see the original as a mod. I'm a graphic mod and am just a member in the photocontests. The reason I asked is just pure interest and part of my learningcurve.
Please do not be offended.
Rob, I wasn't offended in any way. I'm sorry it came across that way. If you'd like to see it PM me and let me know where you'd like me to send it
I think this is beautiful. What is tone mapping?
I'm sorry not everyone views this like you'd hoped...I think it is positively stunning. I love HDR!
Simply amazing...well done
very nice image -- a toss up between this and your other for a fav
It came out perfect for what you had intended. I don't favorite many but this i had too!!!

Glassorb moving?
I like the colors here, and that's what I thought as well.
nope =] but thanks
Is it one of those rotating light balls that spins when it heats up?

This is actually a snail shell ;) (5 years and 3471 days ago)
good find
Beautiful, vibrant colors, but I'm not sure I understand the "foul side."
If this shell came from a giant snail I could see the ugly side. D
I've never smelled a foul shell ....hmmmmmm
lol, well shells do smell foul, i once picked up a bunch of shells, packed them up and brought them home... had to throw away the luggage! and i personally think snails are pretty foul! well except cooked in garlic... but that is another story...
Was the painting made by you? It's a nice decoration object!...

Author, there are some flaws (excess of painting on the thigh, for example). But it's a cute image.
that "excess paint" is her shirt....
It would be good idea to supply a high res.
i agree with friiskiwi... high res would help.
