This could be so beautiful, but either your lens was dirty or it was photographed in fog.
It was not quite foggy but it had too much humidity and it was overcast. I tried to take the photo with various settings and this was the best one.
Sometimes even the best is not good enough. I think any contrast adjustment would help.
I agree with Jashoewhah and Friiskiwi, this shot has a lot of potential and could have been great though with such a variety of colors, was your camera much colder than outside? I am intrigued though, what kind of tree is this?

xogx2002 the tree is arbutus bush, very common in the Greek mountains. Its fruits are very delicious, but you have to eat them "on spot" as are very sensitive and can be ruined during transportation.
I love this shot even if foggy. Nevertheless a perfect contrast would have made it really stunning
Update: I changed the contrast and the brightness.
