Great shot, I would have liked a little more space in front, to stop the plane flying right out of the photo, but that is just my opinion.

author says:

I tried it with more space and the framing just didn't seem right. :/

Well, this is definitely a song and not a nursery rhyme, but isn't it talking about railroads? ("I'll be workin' on the railroad, all the live long day)

author says:

hehe not sure really. I googled the name and "nursery rhyme" to see if it came up and it did. I really don't care I'll change it to whatever everyone wants. I dn't remember any train so I just copied the part I remember which is a mountain and used a picture of a mountain. there's 50billion nursery rhymes so when I'm done working for today I'll see if I can find something to change it with. If not it can be removed.

(Final Chorus)

Looks like she was riding 6 white horses. The workin on the railroad is a different song/rhyme I believe. The link below is where I found it. They said it was a rhyme so I went with it.

wow... those definitely aren't the lyrics I learned as a kid. I wasn't saying it should be removed. There are a lot on here that are songs. And, the lyrics you went by don't mention railroads. So... GL

author says:

I think the one you are thinking of is the "I've been workin on the railroad, all the live long days..."
I can't remember the rest though. LOL I wanted to remove this or change it cause when someone with your vote power doesn't like or feel something fits then you can pretty much hang it up for getting any top finishes but I hate changing things once there are votes and favs

Now now author don't let that crotchety old geezer get ya down. I've had several entries that were deemed incorrect by the professor and still had them come out on top. Plus he didn't say you were wrong, just that those weren't the lyrics he remembered. But cut the poor guy some slack it was a loooong time ago that he was taught it and you know how old peoples minds get kinda hazy at times

author says:

nah I don't get mad (except for some people at work lol). I have jetlag, I'm tired and I thought I did my research on if this would work or not so that kinda did bring me down but only cause I need sleep. lol
btw, kyricom... remember I'm polish... don't make me call out the Polish Mafia! LOL

avatar FallingHorse

This is the version that I learnt in school too .... must the the younger persons version , A lot of nursery rhymes have changed over the years too because some weren't Politicaly correct enough or the old english has changed so much.

avatar kyricom
kyricom says:

Waaaaaaaaay back in the Stone Age, when we were sitting around the fire after the day's hunt we would sing this. It was the exact same as your first two verses (minus the chorus). After riding the 6 white horses, it went into:

"Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah,
someone's in the kitchen, I know-oh-oh-oh,
someone's in the kitchen with Dinah,
strummin on the old banjo!

They're singin...
Fee, Fi, fiddly-I-O
Fee, Fi, fiddly-I-O-O-O-O
Fee, Fi, fiddly-I-O,
Strummin' on the old banjo!"

Oh, I've been workin' on the railroad, all the livelong day,
I've been workin' on the railroad, just to pass the time away.
Don't you hear the whistle blowin'?
Rise up so early in the morn.
Don't ya hear the captain shoutin'?
Dinah blow your horn!

Dinah, won't ya blow?
Dinah, won't ya blow?
Dinah, won't ya blow-o-o-o-o?
Dinah, won't ya blow/ Dinah, won't ya blow?
Dinah won't ya blow your horn?

Then, it went back into "someone's in the kitchen with Dinah" again and would continue in that loop for as long as you had patience for it!

And, don't worry about my votepower. I used to vote on every entry in every contest, but after some changes were made to how voting worked, I rarely vote nowadays. Of course it goes without saying that I automatically vote zero on all of Locksmagic's entries, but everything else I vote on I try to be fair.

Now, all you young whippersnappers! Get off my lawn!!! I'm keeping your ball!

author says:

That's funny cause I never heard that part before but then again the "railroad" rhyme and the "coming around the mountain" rhyme were two different songs we sang. Nothing to do with each other. LOL Wonder what they will be like when us whippersnappers grow up!? hehehe
and if you don't want to give up the ball I'll just have my dog poop in yer yard! LMAO
