Beautiful. Is it more than one head? If it's a dandylion puff, the "head" is made up of multiple little parachute things (can you tell I'm a botonist?)
kyricom is right. It's not a dandylion, but a similar flower at high altitude in the Rockies. Much larger than a dandylion, but does the same thing to seed. Thus One head.
