This is a cute photo. I would suggest cropping it just a bit more on the right and across the top, to remove the small bits of whatever and the rocking horse in the background, and bring the focus more onto the sleeping dog.

I find it a little hypocritical - at least try being consistent in what you may mark low or red flag - either they are both off thene or they are both on theme

I have totally misunderstood this contest, I thought it was about;
"Where is the place you relax on a daily basis?"
Your shot is great but neither the cat nor the boy look relaxed.

That's OK - I think we all have misunderstood, however , I don't really agree with them not looking relaxed. This is how the pair of them relax and 'watch' cartoons for hours (he's even still in his pyjama shorts). Young fella carries the cat around the house like this too and the thing just flops in his arms. If that's your interpretation thats OK with me - we are all different and I'm sure we all interpret things in different ways - though I reckon if you saw how madly busy our house can be you'd interpret it in a different way!
