My goodness, where did you get this? Wonderful!!
Thankyou! He's about a mile down the road from my house. He works all year 'round, and a lot of the businesses here have bought his carvings, and they're all on display.
Dave Watson is a local man, who makes all his carvings with a chainsaw. His yard is full of these beautiful creations. A special thanks to him for letting me watch him work! (5 years and 2435 days ago)

Great shot!
Thank you.
Nice shot, but should be much better with lot of wood-particles flying around from the saw carving wood.
Look at the hi res, there are chips flying everywhere. He had just pulled the blade away from the piece when I snapped this photo. You are seeing the last of those chips flying.
I can see the wood ships flying even in the entry photo normally...
Author, how lucky you are to have this kind of things near your house, so you could share with us the nice photo you took. GL
Very happy you like it. It's my pleasure to share.
Now, that's definitely a carving! Nice in action scene. I pass by a shop on my way to the beach that has these artists carving. They really have a talent.
Thank you. I love watching him.
well done, nice to see the artist included
Thank you!

The symmetry and the color combination made me feel this paperwork as beautiful (5 years and 2535 days ago)
' You must explain why the subject is beautiful to you.'
I think this is pretty! I don't know if anyone truly understands the intricacy or tediousness of making an ornament of that size.

I have debated whether or not to enter this shot, it doesn't have the typical wow factor that is generally needed on this site for an entry to score well on this site but I really like the subtlety of it. I chose to keep the statue in shadow for 2 reasons. First I wanted the focus to be the over exposed moon and flare and Second I wanted the viewer to have to stop and really look at this to see all there is.
I would appreciate hearing everyone's opinion, good or bad. (5 years and 3055 days ago)
Glad you entered this Author...although you say it lacks the 'typical wow factor", I really enjoy the image as it is. It's a different approach, but, in the case of this image, and it's desired look....I think it works well. Good Luck!
Interesting concept, Well done

I agree with the comment above. But you surely did get a crowd and my curiosity piqued!
