the focus here seems to be more on the flowers and their leave along the rock, rather than the grass here.

Glamourgirl2007: plants are divided on the cathegories -- trees, shrubs and grass. So grass could have not only knife-shaped leaves.... That one with the yellow flowers also -- grass....

Although it might me on purpose, I find the whole picture a little dark...

Way too dark! Play with the brightness/contrast or try re-shooting it.

Much but in high res is just just a hair out of focus but much improved from your first upload.
