One of a series of "dream" assemblages. Found objects in a wooden encasement with epoxy resin poured over them.
There are two small mirrors behind the eyes, what you see are reflections... (5 years and 3060 days ago)
This is a beautiful mask! Lovely colors. I just wish you had cropped the top off.
Nice mask - I agree with the crop suggestion
Thank you for the comments. I truly suck at taking pictures, and am pleased I got this to come out this well! Now that it's been suggested, I can see how cropping the top would have improved the composition - at the time, I was concerned with getting the entire assemblage into the shot...lol!
Who knows, I may eventually learn how to take a "real" photo, rather than the terrible "snapshot" quality pictures I have been taking since the old days with a Kodak Instamatic...
Thank you again!

After a perfect night of dancing and romance, you undress and get ready for bed. You dream of what just happened, and when you wake up, it feels like it never really happened. And then you look over and you see the mask you wore the night before, and you remember it was real. (5 years and 3061 days ago)
I really like the mood here..and the description..
Thanks, usually I don't write stories to go with my pictures. Whenever I looked at this photo it reminded me of a scene from some old black and white romance movie, and I thought a story would bring it to life a little bit.
Interesting note from the author, as when I saw the photo and read the words I immediately knew who's it was.
Great shot.
Photographers have styes. I can recognize some of the photos just by how the photographer uses lighting and other techniques. And thanks, this is one of my favorite shots from this set up.
Having a style is one thing, but using a scene that was used before in a previous contest is another thing entirely.
I tried picking a shot that didn't look so similar. I have only so many shots of masks, and I really like this one. If it is that recognizable, which I hoped it wouldn't, then please flag it. But I used shots from the same shoot before, they were just different enough that you couldn't put them together. I tried that with this shot, I know there are similarities, but I have seen people use the same shot before, of which I have not done. So I'm sorry for using shots that are similar, but that is due to I don't own a mask, and this is one if the few good shots I have.
