Sorry this one doesn't impress me, too easy to photograph a crowd.
That isn't exactly constructive now is it friiskiwi? Quality and difficulty aside, this fits the theme I'd say. Most of us at some point have entered something that others might label as too easy or unimpressive, yourself included. If you don't like an image vote low and move on, or give some constructive criticism.
Friiskiwi, trust me on this, I sifted through nearly a 1000 shots from this event and out of them maybe 3 or 4 I was considering entering because it just didn't show the emotions I was looking for. In fact, if you look at it in high res, you'd see just about every emotion on some face or another in the crowd, IMO, making it more on theme than most.
Thanks for your comment Locks
Criticism accepted, I apologize and totally agree that I too have entered many uninteresting photos.
@ friiskiwi Now if only more of us could have that kind of attitude this place would be a lot more friendly!
lol! you all are very diplomatic! friiskiwi, i have to thank you though! and locksmagic too! i would have looked at it and moved on, but this conversation made me look in hi res and really take stock of the faces and emotion shown. when you look at a group and see they are not really a group but a conglomerate of individuals. so... keep making comments, good and bad, cause in the end it really helps!
oh! and author, the couple toward the front are holding hands, i think that is so sweet, and lovely! good image, thanks to all who make comments! and thanks author! good luck!
Nice capture of humanity, and great DOF
I think it's kinda funny to see the peeps that are sneaking a peak at the camera.. hehehe.. nice cluster image... lots to look at!!!

are there three different emotions here..........this is a parade, where everyone is supposed to be in a happy mood, and it looks that way here.
Then look again ade because you totally missed it. The guy in the hat doesn't look too happy because I think he had some problem with some protesters behind me. The guy on the far right looks a little scared to me. The guy on the left looks more serious than anything and there's plenty of happiness to go around. If all else fails, try high res and you will see that I am right.
the photographer definitely looks like he smells something bad..and he's asking Lady Ga Ga to close her legs... (I'm terrible Muriel) nice capture all around (parade shots usually suck and look posed.. this really has a great freedom and randomness)
