Good catch. Is that black powder? Just a little more light might have been good to see the some of the gun itself, there's a little bit of noise. But great timing

Very impressive image. How many times did you have to shoot this before you captured just the right moment, and what was your shutter speed?

kyricom: No, it wasn't black powder, we had just gone through about 300 rounds with that particular gun so the barrel was good and dirty.
MossyB: All together, we went through over 500 rounds of ammo and somewhere in the neighborhood of 850 pictures. I don't remember off the top of my head what the shutter speed was, this was one of the last shots we took, and after 4 hours of shooting both cameras and guns, I was tired.
