very clever, but IMO would have been better in a shadows or trick photo contest, you really can't see the wood clearly.
I shot an other photo for this contest as Vibeke suggested.
Thank you!

The baby tree plans to become a baobab. (5 years and 3480 days ago)
Lovely picture But something is visible in that upper left corner... Is that your hair?
Like the title. It's a "Dickens" of a tree.
great shot ! but i agree with dinomario, there's something at the upper left corner , good luck !
thanks all of you!
I don't remember if I had that special hairstyle that day...
yes kyricom, when I met him and kindly asked to pose, the tree introduced himself as Charles Dickens.

This I ask in good faith; how come these two objects to be casting entirely different shadows?
Thank you for asking.
I place two different pieces of chess behind them (a king & a horse) & with the help of the shadows created by my flash light i achieved this effect!
Thats where the title comes in...
I hope i clarify it for you!
I was just about to ask the same as jerostone, but your answer is very helpfull. Will have to try this technique sometime.
Very cool
Amazing work there!
Great job, smart thought!
