Gosh, the grunge effect is present even without photoshop grunge filter! Visually this photo gives great textural feeling and I love the diagonal slant this has. If you have Photoshop try increasing the cyan and yellow and have fun with this....just don't post it here because that is against the rules...but this is a great shot to have fun with.

it appears to me, that given the direction said cowpoke is looking, if there is a dog, the critter must be in a tree, or on a roof, or maybe being tossed in the air !! Or maybe even really, really tall. GIDDYUP, LITTLE DAWGYS !! HEAD EM UP AND MOVE EM OUT !!!

Over the tree, it's a special kind of dog and likes to climb trees. See the three in the image at the glasses!
oh yeah !! I see him !! He is disguised very well !! He is behind the third limb, right below where the 2 branches come together, where the leaves are dying. I can even see the fleas crawling out of his ear.

How was this done?
These were hanging in a stairwell at a museum. It was a little dim, but definitely better lit than this. I simply increased the levels and contrast to make it dark. If it's over-edited - that's cool.
