MnM, you are correct and Mikael, you could also assume medicinal uses. Medical or not, they still need a pipe. Besides, they're intended for tobacco purposes only, no medicinal here. However, to this day, I have never heard or seen anyone using one for the specific purposes of smoking tobacco in.
