The flame to the left of the photo seems like a lady with her mouth open and she's wearing a hat and she might be screaming cause of the monster to the right trying to eat her!

THIS IS AWESOME. i love the emotion pouring from it. granted, the upper left corner is really blown out, but... i just LOVE the shot. really do.

Thanks Jaded, I know what you mean about the upper corner unfortunately because this picture was taken at about 11pm in times square the only way to get the guy's face exposed properly was to not worry about the LCD billboard in the BG. If I had had the time I would have bracketed this but this was quite literally a snapshot as I was being pushed forward by the surge of the crowd.

Usually I'm pretty militant about blown out exposure, but in this case I think it might actually help. The light helps emphasize the shape of the guy's head. The backlighting of the beard from it also helps a lot. He almost looks like Rasputin... the "Mad Monk!" Maybe it's "holy light." Nice job

(This shot would be no where as good if the guy had hair)
