N.A. : Actually I'm not that old ... But in my first year in high school, as a matter of tradition, every student learned math with a slide rule (like my father), it was abolished in favor of calculators in the next year, but I kept mine as a museum piece since then... (1979) (5 years and 2638 days ago)
Nice perspective. It was probably good they made you use slide rules. Calculators train us to not know how to do stuff ourselves.
Indeed, they and you are correct ... I Think that life today is easier at first, but it takes its toll up front, where some end up not preparing fully for the facilities previously found, but this may also be a thought of who is getting old ...
I too have those of my father, but I still use when traveling.
Imposed the cursor on the multiplication of the foreign currency, and I see fair prices.

It's a lovely photo, but perhaps not quite what the contest was intending. Not saying it's off theme, but I feel more of a portrait type photo were expected.
It just says 'A loved one', not 'A portrait of a loved one'... so how is it off theme?... I'm not a mind reader!!! It's a photo of one who is loved... well, my neighbour thinks so anyway!
