Gubbles: Earth. Says so right on my profile where we use the dictionary to define things like a hobby. This is a nice picture, don't get me wrong but I don't feel it fits the theme well. If the kid had a fishing pole or a trout on a line that he just caught, then that would be different, but this is only a hobby because the author said so. How about yourself? Uranus?

Jawshoe, stop being such a downer! In the contest theme it says "take a shot which CONVEYS a favorite hobby or intrest". That means that pictures taken after or before are okay as long as they remind you of the hobby... this picture clearly reminds me of fishing and I view the different perspective as a bonus... high marks from me author!

"higher level" fishing - isn't it?

Not sure what you mean by "higher level" fishing cairn but it is what my self and my husband do on weekends with our 5 year old daughter .... if you are referring to competition sorry, no this is simply fly fishing gear. Thanks for your comments.

What I think cairn meant by “higher level” is fly fishing requires a lot of practice and skill to master than regular bait and lure fishing, especially if you tie your own flies. A great shot BTW.
