By means of SBS you'd have to upload the original photo, i.e. the one you chose to worked on

the pic in the step 1 of SBS is the unedited / original version i.e. the pic taken from camera itself (using the inbuilt selective color mode).

I guess you photo was removed, because you are supposed to show some skill in removing all but the red, not let the camera do it.

thanks friiskiwi... in this case, it shuld have been mentioned in the contest guideline/description/rule itself that you have to remove colors other than red from the original colored photo.

According to the competition guidelines mentioned :

A selective color competition for red subjects only. -> my entry is valid. My subject is red!
May use Photoshop (or equivalent) in this instance to reduce other colors to grey-scale. MAY -> means not necessarily one need to use Photoshop. secondly the line itself clears that the original pic can be gray scale, in case it isn't, you can use Photoshop to reduce it to gray scale. Thirdly! ---or equivalent--- -> the equivalent feature in my cam was used to reduce other colors to gray scale.
So, your picture can only contain red and grey-scale colors. -> Yes, my pic contains only red and grey scale colors.
The object must be red already. You can't make a blue object red. -> Yes, flowers were red already!

So, I don't see any thing where my entry stands invalid! (with the contestant's perspective)

i didn't intend to argue but wanted to clarify my points . i was suffering from indigestion of the facts behind removal of my entry!
