Great mood, I love the snow, I just wish it had a little bit more DOF.

Thanks Leanord.
It was late on February when I took this photo and most of the snow was gone (unfortunately).

I like this much better than carving into the tree.

Very nice!
Really nice color of the water at the bottom.
can you please explain how you got that color to be desaturated in the rest of the photo, as I am supposing there must have been those colors in the rest of the photo.
Kellie for this contest you are allowed to use any type of selective color you would like, not just desaturation of channels.
Are you asking how to use selective coloring?
I just started working with photoshop so I don't know how yet. In Paint Shop Pro, I don't think they have that option. I'll have to go research how to do it.
You should give GIMP a try, very powerful free editing software.
so was it basically this method used? http://www.pxleyes.com/video-tutorial/photoshop/3219/Using-Selective-Color.html
I bet this looks stunning in all its coloured glory
congrats Pat! You SO deserved it! Again, I don't know why, but I actually like this one better than the color one for some reason. Great job!
Nice Job Congrats on your Win

Hi-res would have been nice, this is too small to make out much.
What are the square things? Stone markers, or wood posts along a path, or ???
The picture leans down to the left. I'd level it out a bit.
It looks lovely author! Best of luck!
