Fun photo, but you have lost all detail in the cousins, strange as they must have been in full sun.

Great shot for a phone, and you haven't done anything wrong, You don't have much choice with a phone camera. I can only suggest that you keep trying, in some situations the photos will be great in others not. Keep trying and you will find out where it works.

Lovely, I would crop a lot off the sides to really bring the focus on the boy and dog, and perhaps darken it a little.
