I love this picture but what the hell is it?
Thanks wedoo2, it's a smelly funny looking mushroom thingy, that was growing in some woodchip at my place, I'd never seen one before. I took the pic and sent it to one of my friends who is interested in fungi, she told me it's a Phalus rubicundus is one of the stinkhorn fungi, and stink it did! When I first saw it, it was standing upright, it was about 6 cm tall and then just a few hours later when I took this pic it was already fading, they don't seem to last too long... which is probably for the best!
