this wave was captured as a winter storm was hitting the coast of New Jersey. It was truly amazing to watch as the waves constantly changed. I was sitting just at the edge of the rocks capturing this stop action photo. The waves were massive! (5 years and 898 days ago)

it "almost" could look like the lightening struck at night....and the place where it struck is still burning the next morning with all the smoke. Great photos. Love them

avatar RayTedwell

Nice find. Is this coincidence, or will you go to ANY length to get the right shot?

I think the trick to shooting lightning is to use a bulb exposure setting and fairly small aperture (5 years and 3311 days ago)

Little grainy but I'm assuming from the over exposure and wasn't avoidable, nonetheless this shot simply put is absolutely amazing! If you don't mind me asking how long did you allow the shutter to remain open to obtain this?

avatar friiskiwi
friiskiwi says:

Stunning, I'd love to do that, but first I have to find some good lightning, never get any here.

Excessive rain and winds cause much damage- nature fights back in California. Damage to animals, damage to people's belongings...
In high resolution, you can really see the damage just in this picture's range. (5 years and 3442 days ago)
