How was the desaturation done?

Color channels and contrast. I'm from Scotland so this guy did not have much of a tan to fade. It's within the rules frili.

Excellent photo and I love the angle/subject matter. I'd up the contrast just a tad though (not too much) to make this really "pop." All the best!
