Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run girl,
You're much too young girl...
Sung by Gary Puckett (5 years and 2731 days ago)
The person may or may not be a girl...hard to tell...but the figure is skating, not running.
When someone says, "run" out of my life, it does not mean you must literally run away; it can happen in a sms or Facebook nowadays. All the more so when it is in an art form, such as a pop song, where imagery rather than literalism is the order of the day. BTW, since it is my photo, I know it's a girl. The image is "meant" to convey a sense that someone is on the way out of the frame of the camera as well as "get out of my mind" as in the song. Hope that helps.
IMO, author, we have too many nitpickers at times. It seems that some folks can't see the forest for the trees. IMO, this fits the theme well. High score and good luck.
Ah, thanks a bucket and judging from your avatar, you know all about running or was it chasing?
I am a runner and a bicyclist. And I gotta get my avatar to run a little more cause his gut is way too big !! I got him in training.
It's not "nit picking" to point out that the photo is such a loose interpretation of the lyrics, it really does not fit them very well.
The imagery of this photo is too vague. If you have to explain the symbolism, you've failed at communicating it.
The "rule of thirds" would have helped this composition quite a bit. Theoretically, the girl is your subject, but the clump of foliage is more the visual focal point. The extreme "minimalist" inclusion of the subject, combined with skates, makes her seem more an afterthought of a photo of greenery, rather than an interpretation of the song lyrics.
Thanks MossyB for taking the trouble to examine it the way you did. As it is a matter of personal interpretation, you are as correct as anybody else. BTW, I don't think the "greenery" is that interesting to merit a focal point all on its own. The girl was skating back and forth in front of me, and I had to take a few shots to get her right at the edge of the frame.

This was taken with my old point and shoot but has always been a favorite.
Ballerina girl
you are so lovely
with you standing there (5 years and 2732 days ago)
It is beautiful, wish we had a high res.
Me too... I took this photo before I knew what I was doing with files (I am still a newbie but have the basics down).
What happens here is that if you don't tick,"also save full resolution", we only see the down sampled version here, about 400 x 600 pxl. if your image was larger than that;
Go to;
My Stuff
my contest entries
find this entry and click on ;
edit entry
Upload the corrected image (if you have changed it)
remember to tick;
Also save full resolution image.
Your image doesn't need to be enormous, anything between 2.5mg and 3.5mg is plenty big enough.
Good luck
I tried and ut won't work. As this pic is older, the file has floated around and I think the copy in my new Puter is low res.... Just a thought as all my other entries load fine.
Love the mood.

Girl with the pearl earring. I can only imagine Vermeer's troubles asking a 15 year old girl to pose long enough to paint. (5 years and 2736 days ago)
