k5683, I have no idea what "???" means. Maybe some constructive feedback would get your point across.
The background was already black, the vase is blue carnival glass. I did use some curves to get the vase itself to "glow", you can see some of the color in at the bottom. Personally, I like the photo but do understand that it, like many photos, doesn't appeal to everyone.

The back ground is black and not the object, therefore a little off topic. The image has been altered way to much, the original is better. would have suited the curves comp.
